The artist this time is Onigiriman, who joined in November last year.
I will explain his career as an illustrator and NFT artist and the points of his paintings in my own way.

[What is Onigiriman? ]
An illustrator who lives in Tokyo and is active mainly in the Kanto region.
POP and colorful illustrations are characteristic, and works of cute girls are being developed.
He is a popular young artist who mainly works as an NFT* artist, and many collectors in the area own his works.
*What is NFT?
Abbreviation for non-fungible token.
It means digital data with an unforgeable appraisal/ownership certificate. It will be long if I talk about it, so please search for details on NFT etc.
[Career]
He has been drawing pictures as a hobby since he was a student, and entered the cryptocurrency world. From there, I was spending my time receiving work such as icon illustrations.
From March 2021, he started his activities as an NFT artist in earnest, and his popularity has skyrocketed since his work was exhibited at Opensea (NFT Market) in September.
Through various projects, collaboration works, word of mouth by influencers, etc., the total transaction volume exceeds 100 ETH (currently 21.14 million yen in Japanese yen) in just one month.
After that, he achieved 200 ETH (42.28 million yen) in 2 months and 300 ETH (64.56 million yen) in July 2022, and his NFT works are still popular.

[Explanation of the work]
From here, I tried to summarize the appealing aspects of his work into three categories based on my dogmatic and prejudiced opinions.
(1) Use of colors
The first thing that catches your eye is the color scheme.
Vivid colors are difficult to work with and tend to make paintings noisy.
However, I think that his work is very easy to see as a single picture and is conscious to be finished in a work that is easy to remember.
② Lines that feel the flow
His paintings are often drawn firmly with the main line.
In general illustrations, wrinkles on hands and clothes are not drawn clearly and have the impression that they look beautiful.
However, he makes the wrinkles themselves feel fluid and the work feels good.
③ line of sight
It depends on the work, but basically the eyes of the woman he draws are facing this way.
Is it appealing to something, or is it fascinated? Although it is a work of fiction, one of the charms of his work is that it makes you feel as if your girlfriend is right in front of you.
Besides that, he has a strong inquisitiveness and curiosity about painting, and the speed of producing works is fast.
In the future, I hope that more works will be released with better drawing skills and senses.
